Housing is critical to the Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri region to sustain its rapid economic growth, retain a skilled workforce, and maintain quality of life as the population nears 1 million projected by 2050. As a top-20 fastest-growing metro area, the region faces acute shortages, making affordable, accessible housing essential for long-term economic competitiveness and workforce stability. Our discussion will provide an overview of market data, need, and organizations who are solving these challenges.

We will also explore why expanding access to safe, reliable, and affordable childcare presents an opportunity to strengthen families and increase the region’s economic potential. Investing in early childcare is not just about supporting families—it’s about empowering the workforce and fostering economic growth. Experts will provide updates on access and solutions to ensure adequate care is available to meet community need.
