Summer Start

UCAÌýSummer StartÌýis a summer bridge program designed to help our new Bears transition from high school to a successful freshman year.Ìý It’s a great way to start early and start right at UCA! As part of Summer Start, you will have opportunities to:

  • Meet other new students
  • Engage with UCA Faculty and Staff
  • Improve your study strategies
  • Get to know the UCA campus before classes begin
You’ll hear tips on taking better notes, improving your organizational and time-management skills, and managing stress and the challenges of college. Summer Start is open to new, first-time entering first-year UCA students.Ìý Students can live on-campus in their fall housing assignment or commute to campus each day.

  • You must complete the Interest form to be eligible for Summer Start, since seats are limited.
  • Program cost to student $25 (Sponsored by Pepsi, Aramark, and Student Success Services – Total Value $425)
  • You can live on-campus in your fall housing assigned room or commute during Summer Start
Completing the form below only indicates that you are interested in attending the UCA Summer Start program, August 11-14th, 2026. You will only receive the registration form if you have completed the interest form. We will send you a registration form on June 29, 2026. You must be registered for SOAR (Summer Orientation and Registration). This program has limited availability, please submit your interest early. NOTE: Students participating in Football or Marching Band will not be able to attend Summer Start as schedules conflict.
